Believe in Change
From Psalm 13
Hope from Today’s Reading:
”I trust in your love. My heart is happy because you saved me.” (Psalm 13:5 NCV)
This psalm didn't begin so happily. Verse 2 says, "How long must I worry and feel sad in my heart all day?" (emphasis mine).
Yesterday, Riddy Boy and I had our best walk E.V.E.R. He's been in training for the past three weeks, which means we've gone to group classes twice a week and worked a bit on his stuff at home. In other words, not canine academy or anything, but we've done our best. And y'all—I've been unbelievably impressed with his progress.
This is a dog who's three years old. (Can you say "set in his ways"?) Yet ... I'm seeing change, real change, and that's given me great hope.
Friend, believe in change.
I'm not saying all things will work out the way you want; but Scripture says all things will work out for good (Romans 8:28). So believe: in better days, in good walks, in positive outcomes, and in hopeful, happy hearts. Not because you will have worked so unbelievably hard to make it happen. But because He is so unbelievably gracious and able.
Most of all, believe in Him.
